James B - Size and Strength
About a year ago I was your typical lad just wanting to become big with out the effort and was considering steroids. I then stumbled upon the fit2talk website. I started looking through the video section and realised they were filmed in my old gym. I went in and recognised Jay from the videos and decided to chat to him about my goals and ambitions. We set a date for a sit down and he then took me through a free session.
After the workout I realised I hadn’t been pushing my body anywhere near its limits. All my muscles ached even though we only did shoulders, so I decided to use him for a month and see what would happen. I can tell you in that month all my lifts went up by 30kg accept my dead lift which was much higher; I started at 90kg and finished doing 155kg. This was achieved by correcting form and establishing a good diet. Each session felt personal and if he felt like I was lagging he’d jump into the training, pushing me even harder! Even though the workouts hurt the results were well worth it. I feel that me and Jay are great friends now and I don’t think I would be where I am today with out his help. He helped me understand my body and its nutrition, making me completely disregard the idea of steroids. I didn’t need them! Thanks Lad.

Sarah L - Rehab / Fitness
2 years ago I sustained an unknown back injury and over the months it gradually developed into Sciatica leaving me in crippling pain and unable to stand, lay flat and basically perform day to day task without being in extreme pain.
I was referred to a physio who gave me basic exercises to follow and also put me on traction this unfortunately didn't resolve the pain. I was given cortisone injection to reduce the pain but this wasn't successful either.
For the last 10 yrs I have been a regular member of a gym and during my injury I was finding certain exercises increasingly difficult .. I sought some guidance from a Personal trainer; Jay. We sat down and duscussed how the pain was effecting me and what I was currently doing to reolve it. We then started me on a regime that would start the path to my full recovery.
I cannot thank Jay enough for the motivation, the time and effort he puts into his clients, his method of working is second to none and on many occasion I would receive comments from other gym users on how well he worked as a trainer with me.
Jay's commitment to his clients his outstanding and he is always there to give advice and guidance and will push you to and over your comfort zone . I am a member of fit2talk and I often visit the site for new routines and it keeps me motivated.
I am now fully fit and without pain and this was all down to the specific training given by Jason. My fitness levels are higher than they have ever been in all my years of training. I would highly recomend Jay to anyone who wishes to take their fitness to the next level.

Having suffered with back pain for many years, I had an operation towards the end of 2008 to repair a slipped disc. I was told by the doctor that if I wanted to reduce the risk of further problems arising in the future, I would need to strengthen the muscles around my spine through regular exercise.
I had never been to a gym as I have a very physical job which keeps me healthy, but I realised that I would need to change my lifestyle if I wanted to avoid any further injuries. I joined a local gym and signed up with Jay, a Personal Trainer, to ensure that I exercised in a way that would improve my strength without risking any damage to my back.
At the start, I was nervous about hurting my back, but Jay showed me how to build up my core strength safely through a range of different exercises. Jay knows how hard to push me, so the sessions are always challenging but completely safe.
I now feel confident to work out and feel my core muscles are getting stronger and stronger. My back is better than it has been for many years, all thanks to Jay and endless planks!

As part of his recovery from a back operation, my husband and I joined our local gym. I have been a gym member in the past, but have always found it hard to get into the habit of going regularly, so I registered for personal training sessions with Jay in the hope that this would help to keep me motivated.
My main priorities were to improve my fitness and to tone up, so Jay planned a variety of exercises for me that specifically work on these areas. He always challenges me to go that bit further than I think I can, so every session is a good workout! Having said that, he is endlessly patient and constantly encouraging, celebrating every bit of progress that I make.
I am noticing a real difference in what I can do now, compared to when I first started. I have started to enjoy running and find it a really good way of de-stressing after a long day at work!
Sarah H - Weight Loss
I’ve always been a big girl, but like most people you get into a relationship and before you know it you have put on a few pounds. Unfortunately my relationship ended and I was left with a broken heart and more than enough unwanted pounds. So I decided I either eat my sorrow away and put more weight on or do something about it. I decided to lose the weight and direct my frustration!
At first it was easy to lose a bit of weight, as it always is but I became stuck and didn’t know what to do. Luckily I had heard of Jay through a friend and he helped me kick start my weight loss. We first sat down and discussed my nutrition and created a targeted diet plan that would fit my busy schedule. We then started boot camp type sessions on the local field. Jay was very supportive, motivating and coaching me through it. He listened to me moan, but didn’t let it affect the training and kept a firm stance. If I began to slow down he ran beside me reassuring me all the way that I could do it. He always jumped into the training and didn’t just watch! I lost 2 Stone from this and managed to get down to a comfortable 12 ½ stone.
Unfortunately due to my demanding job and a new flat, I had to stop the Personal Training sessions. I managed to maintain my weight, but wanted to lose a few extra pounds! I couldn’t afford the gym and didn’t feel comfortable training outside on my own. So Jay helped me setup up a new nutritional plan, using Herbalife. At first I was a bit sceptic about it, sounding like a Slim Fast thing, but I love it! It’s easy to use and each Formula 1 shake has 23 vitamins and minerals, but only 220 calories. I have lots of energy throughout the day; I feel full with it. It’s a great addition to my diet and great value for money. I am now down to 11st 10 pounds, happy knowing im on the way down the scales.

I joined a gym 2 years ago, I weighed 16 stone was a 38 waist and as unfit as they come. I trained hard for a year going the gym 3 times a week but with little to show for it, then i decided i needed to make a decision either put more effort in or continue to struggle so i hired a personal trainer, i booked 2 sessions a week with Jason who not only trained me but helped me out with my diet, by putting me on to this web site. After 4 months of training with Jason i was 13 1/2 stone a 34 waist with muscles i didn't know I had as well as my fitness levels being right up there, i find training something fun to do now as opposed to a chore its actually become a bit of an obsession going 5-6 times a week.
I find the fit2talk website very helpful in keeping healthy food interesting, I'm a big fan of the homemade protein bars and the breakfast smoothes (they are a great way to start your day), I really enjoy reading the blogs and have found them helpful for me to achieve my goal and if I have any questions there is always someone willing to help me.
I cannot speak to highly of the web site or the advantages of a personal trainer as I put these 2 things as the main reasons I'm a 32 waist and under 13st for the first time in 7 years, i encourage anyone out there to give it a go and see the benefits cause I guarantee they will outweigh any financial setbacks, as jay always told me a healthy body equals a healthy mind.

Jay is the first Personal Trainer I have ever used. My confidence was at an all time low when I met him and I needed to drastically change my lifestyle. He helped me understand where I was going wrong and soon set me out a diet guideline, which helped me understand what I was eating and more importantly why!
The training was tough, I’m not going to lie and say I found it easy. We did a mixture of weights and cardio. Making sure that we got outside at least once a week; a blessing in disguise. Before I knew it I was enjoying it all and found the Fit2Talk website a great source for reference.
I have managed to get to a size 10 from a size 14 – 16. I couldn’t be happier and I can safely say that I don’t even think about my weight anymore, just how fit I can get!

I have been using the website now for around 4 months and find it extremely useful. Not only did I use the diet guidelines and recipes to help me lose weight but, I also used the workouts. These allowed me to start enjoying my training and use the gym properly. I would recommend it to anyone who needs help monitoring their health and have told all my friends.
